and the Hierophant is portrayed as a Buddhist monk preaching with a biwa lute in hand.
Each card depicts a scene filled with the lively atmosphere and sparkling charm of a bygone era,

Although richly stylized, the deck follows the traditional Rider–Waite–Smith structure,
