“I wanted to create cards that could bring back a smile—
even when people are dealing with worries they can’t easily talk about,
or questions that seem impossible to answer.”

About 15 years ago, this idea sparked the beginning of the project.
While searching for inspiration, the creator noticed a relative constantly baking cakes and sweets—and suddenly realized that sweets have the power to heal.
That moment led to the decision to make snacks the theme of a tarot deck.

In creating this deck, the goal was not just to make something “cute” or “unique,”
but to stay faithful to traditional tarot principles.

Based on the classic Rider–Waite Tarot, the deck carefully preserves tarot symbolism and the core meanings of each suit
(Coins, Swords, Wands, and Cups),
reimagined through a wide variety of snacks and sweets.
As a result, this deck is enjoyable not only for beginners,
but also for experienced tarot readers.

Each card is hand-painted by the creator using acrylic paints.

■ About the Creator

Ekaki non
Illustrator / Portrait Artist
Born in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan.

From an early age, non loved drawing and had many opportunities to create artwork through school events and club activities. After gaining professional experience working at a department store, she began her career as an illustrator following marriage and childbirth.

A family illness led her to obtain certifications as a nutritionist and aromatherapy advisor, deepening her interest in healing work. Around the same time, the loss of a beloved person awakened her curiosity toward the invisible, spiritual aspects of life.

In 2012, she earned Level 1 Certification in Portrait Illustration (Japan Portrait Examination Association). Since then, she has been active as a portrait artist, primarily in Aichi Prefecture and on social media, with experience creating portraits of over 1,000 people.
