A graduate of the Faculty of Humanities at Sophia University in Tokyo, Mihoko combines artistic expression with a fascination for folklore, mythology, and the sacred traditions of Japan.

Her creative work is inspired by the belief that stories have the power to bring people closer to the unseen wonders that surround them.

Through her illustrations, she seeks to create warm and meaningful encounters between people and the gods, spirits, and mythical beings that have been cherished throughout Japanese culture for centuries.
