Naoki Yamamoto

Naoki Yamamoto began his career as an illustrator in 2009. Inspired by Japanese deities and Buddhist iconography, he started creating tarot decks in 2012, combining his passion for mythology with his distinctive artistic style.

His Japanese Mythology Tarot, first released in 2014, has grown into a highly successful series, reaching its sixth edition and inspiring numerous related titles.

In 2016, he released the Traditional Tarot, followed in 2018 by the full 78-card deck Japanese Mythology Tarot Kiwami. That same year, he also produced YAOYOROZU, a live cosplay stage show celebrating the world of Japanese Mythology Tarot.

In 2019, he released the Japanese mythology oracle deck Shintaku Fuda, which has continued to be reprinted due to its popularity.

Today, Naoki Yamamoto is recognized for his richly detailed artwork that blends traditional Japanese mythology with the timeless symbolism of tarot and oracle cards, earning a devoted following among collectors and readers both in Japan and abroad.
