Naoki Yamamoto

Naoki Yamamoto began his career as an illustrator in 2009, specializing in artwork inspired by Japanese gods, goddesses, and Buddhist deities. Driven by his long-standing interest in tarot, he started creating original tarot decks in 2012.

His acclaimed Japanese Mythology Tarot, first released in 2014, has since reached its sixth edition and inspired a wide range of companion products. He followed with the release of Traditional Tarot in 2016 and the complete 78-card Japanese Mythology Tarot Kiwami in 2018. That same year, he also organized YAOYOROZU, a cosplay show celebrating the world of Japanese Mythology Tarot.

In 2019, he released the oracle deck Japanese Mythology Shintaku Fuda, which has gone through multiple reprints due to its popularity. Today, Naoki Yamamoto is recognized for his richly detailed artwork that blends Japanese mythology with timeless divination traditions, earning a devoted following among collectors and readers both in Japan and around the world.
